the Zoo

last Friday was Mara's class field trip to the Zoo, it was cold!!!! the kids all seemed to like it though.

Most of the animals were inside, but the tiger cubs and all of the felines were out and active.
the cheetah was pacing back and forth along the fence ( there were mule deer below in the field below the cheetah run.

here is the group..... I had Mara, Johannah, Emily, Anastasia,Calista and Jackson. Barbie had Jonathan, Jayda, James, Xander. it was a big group.

santa mishap

I was fortunate enough to be able to get quite a few craft items that were my moms, this was almost finished, so I decided to put it together and set it up for Christmas this year ( all exept the stockings that hang on it)
well we had a little accident.......
see the whole Santa head broke, I glued it back together and called it good.
I have another santa head that has NOT been painted yet so maybe next year I will do it, but for now this is just fine. Besides it was painted by my momma:)

double the fun

So Jackson decided tonight that one binky isn't good enough, so why not two? silly kid

Jackson only gets his binky when he is going to bed, but he somehow got both of these, I think his sister had something to do with it:)

Hopefully the binky will be gone for good soon, like in the next month or so.

Celebration Utah

Last week Mara, Jackson and I drove to this cute house and watched the show. I am truly amazed that anyone can put this thing together, they do this every year.

LUNCHTIME

a typical day at our house after school consists of hanging out downstairs so that we do not wake up Jonah, well Mara and Jackson get to eat their lunch while they watch a show.

I will fix lunch and come downstairs and they will be ready and waiting for me with their trays. ( Jackson has now started to get both trays automatically:)



this particular day they were eating leftover spaghetti. yummy:)

** note: we used to try to be gone for hours after school ended to give Jonah more sleep, but I have decided that it is tooooooo expensive to go out shopping and it is tooooooooo dang cold to go to a park, so home it is!!!**

Mara's new jammies

One night after dinner we decided to go into the DI, ( cause I love this store) well Mara found this nighty, she was in HEAVEN!!!!!

she wanted to wear it that night, I made her wait until I washed it first, pure torture:) well she loves it!!! she says that it is her princess jammies.


if it makes her happy, then who am I to argue, besides it was a whopping $2.00

Halloween- forgot to post

oops!!! I forgot to post these pictures from halloween. I know i am a TOTAL slacker.

Mara was Batgirl, Jackson was a penguin, Jonah was the Joker, and I was Poison Ivy

I had Mara and Jackson's costumes done the end of September, I finished Me and Jonah's about a week before Halloween.
by the time Halloween came around Jackson had grown an inch, his pants were a little to short, I have to keep pulling them down to cover his socks
this was on our way out for trick or treating at grandma and Grandpa Stroud's house

Jonah was a good sport and got fully dressed for trick or treating
Mara going in for some more loot!!!

I was pretty darn proud of myself with Mara and Jackson's costumes they looked soooo cute.

Jackie boy

Mara decided to take Jackson's pants off of him and put a skirt on him, he laughed and laughed and went to show his HOT skirt off to Jonah.

Apple Pie

Each year, either the week before or the week after Thanksgiving I like to make our own turkey dinner, well this year I made our turkey dinner on Monday, before Thanksgiving. Along with Turkey, yummy mash potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, veggies, I made an apple pie.
it looked sooooooo good!!! well after dinner I just wanted to taste the Caramelized apple filling, I touched the top of the pie with filling then I tasted it...... it tasted sooooooo gross. then I looked closer at the cinnamon and sugar on top and sure enough, there was a lot of "sugar"

I asked Mara if she put more sugar on the pie and her answer was " yes, I wanted to help, so I sprinkled more stuff on it" too bad she sprinkled it with SALT!!!!

Mara, Jackson and I still ate some that night I just took the entire top crust off, it was fine. here and there you would get a little salty bite but for the most part it tasted good!!!

P.S. I did not get made at her, I just asked her to PLEASE not add anything to food unless I am there to help her:)

Mara's Prize

So Mara has been filling her jar for two months or so. Every time she has been good and has followed directions ( the first time) she has been able to add a piece in her jar. she finally filled the entire jar*. Once she filled her jar she was given the opportunity to pick where we went. She decided on Chucky Cheese's. ( I remember it a lot better, from when I was little) Mara loved it though

*there was 55 "pieces" that Mara had to earn
She was so happy, she was grinning the ENTIRE time
Jackson and I stayed at the table with the pizza and the tokens for most of the time.
Jackson LOVED this carousel, he just kept grinning at me and saying "weeeeeeeeeeeee"

When we left Chucky Cheese's it was a blizzard!!! so when we got home Mara and Jackson had to go out and try out the snow

New Moon

I LOVED the movie!!! I felt it stayed true to the book :)

Okay so I have NOT been in the blogging mood for quite some time now.

I do not know why because I LOVE LOVE LOVE to look at peoples blogs almost daily I just haven't wanted to do mine.

Punkin' Patch

This year we decided to go tot the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins. So one day after Mara's school we jumped in the car and drove to the pumpkin patch, Mara, Jackson, and I had a great time!!!

After we found all of our pumpkins we HAD to take turns sitting on the tractors:) then, we went on adventure in the corn mazeJackson decided that he was going to take off on his own

The Witches

Shanny and the boys met us at Gardner Village to check out the Witches


this witch reminds me of my mom on Halloween soooo much, she loved to dress up as a witch each and every halloween ( well at least the latter years)
