A little Luck

last night I went to close the garage and I heard a little fluttering noise, I looked up and I saw a HUGE* dragonfly up on the lights. I tried to get it outside but no luck, so I decided to take its picture. Mara says it is a girl and her name is Dragon.

So I hear that Dragonflies are supposed to bring you good luck, well I will keep my fingers crossed

so I wasn't shaking at all when this picture was taken, look at the fuzzy edges of the light bulb- I think it looks cool
look at those wings- I have never seen a dragon fly so close up before

* HUGE= 3 1/2 inches long

4th of July

Saturday was a fun filled day......
Jackson and I went down to save some spots for the West Jordan Parade.
Jackson eating his "healthy" breakfast -- a McGriddle
Jackson and Weston- watching the parade eating some yummy taffy
don't mind the messy face of Jackson- he had just devoured 3 pieces of sticky taffyMara's favorite part of the parade was definitely the princess' on the floats Mara sat next to Jonah the entire time- when I would ask her to come sit with me she would say" no, I want to be with my dad, he will get scared without me" what a sweet girl I haveThis clown was so cute
After the parade we went over to the carnival and the booths, this year they had some fun rides for the kiddos and for the adults. they were a little pricey but oh well, right?
So is this little clown- look at that messy messy face- I think he liked his lunch :)
My sweet Jonah:)
Mara and Jonah went on this ride- it was making me sick just watching them spin, Mara told me that she was really really dizzy!!! Mara and Weston waiting in line for the car rides, they road in a Fire truck-
when I looked back and Jackson and Jonah, this is what I found.....
Jonah would flop his head over to one side then Jackson would push it over to the other side and laugh and laugh

I love this little lady
I think Weston had a fun time Driving a cute little race car( one of the times)I decided that Jackson needed to have his shirt removed, he had spilled a can of root beer all over his shirt and he was wet and smelling of root beer.. Weston even let Mara drive:)
the last ride they went on was this apple one,
After the carnival we went home, Mara and Jonah took a nap, then we all loaded up and headed back down to the carnival but this time we went over to the West Jordan Western Stampede Rodeo--- I have never been to a rodeo and I think this will be my last one-- I wasn't a big fan but oh well. (sorry no pictures, I forgot the camera in the car)
Don ( Jonah's dad) retired the end of June and this is what he wanted to do to celebrate his retirement, a rodeo.
After the rodeo we stayed to watch the fireworks but decided that we would get out of the stadium and go into the parking lot by our car so we could try to get out of the parking lot quicker-( which the parking lot was a zoo, when we left)
on our way out to the car Mara and I stopped to get autographs from the rodeo clowns and the Princess's. Mara was in heaven :)
then we headed home and went to bed, well the kids and I did, Jonah stayed up for another 2 hours ( 2 a.m.) silly boy!!!!

Work, Work, Work

So I thought that I would do a post about the place that I have been going 5 days a week for the last 3 years and 3 months...... work!

I started at LandAmerica on April 17, 2006. I was so scared that morning I was sick!!!!

I am the helpdesk and System Administrator, so pretty much I am the receptionist but do everything through email. As my boss says to all of our agents and visitors I am the "quarterback" I make sure that everything flows as smoothly as possible. Also, If our agents have trouble with their end of the system , I come in and get it fixed.

I have loved working here at the service center, I have made some really good friends with a bunch of my agents and co-workers.

The service center is really family oriented, I love it! Not many places would let you bring your kids into the office on a regular basis ( Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- 4:15---5:00)

All of this is coming to a close, I put in my notice ( 2 month notice) June 2nd, my last day will be July 31st 2009.

I am really excited to be able to be home with both Mara and Jackson, I am a little sad that I will be leaving this great place.

so if anyone sends me emails to this address.... bstroud@landam.com please change it to beth.e.stroud@gmail(dot)com

****Annie took these pictures when she was in town, we went to a deli close by for lunch, it was a great lunch break:)****

Jackson

I just wanted to post a few pictures of my favorite little boy! I love this little guy sooo much.

when I see him coming at me with this grin, I just melt- he is so cute:)
this is a normal occurrence at my house,

Jackson will be so tired but refuses to go to sleep but if I put him in his high chair and give him a little snack within maybe a minute this is what happens- it makes me laugh every time. this also is a normal daily occurrence, Jackson walks around the house either holding his sippy/or bottle in one hand and a toy in the other or will just grin at you with the sippy/bottle in his mouth. when you start to smile at him or laugh at him he will run to you squealing- I love it

this little one is such a happy guy- I am so glad that I am able to have him.
