My Momma

I just wanted to post a few pictures of my mom.

I miss her terribly and just needed to post a few pictures of her doing what she loved the most being with her family.

Last night Mara and I went to the cemetary and lit candles for her and for Ever too.

I cried, like I usually do. I wish I could hug her right now!!!!

After Mara went to I decided to take a few pictures of my festive christmas decorating, ( I know it is nothing spectacular)

The Benefit of helping Mom

My Little Helper

Mara and I decided this year to give my cookies to my sweet sisters.

So we thought that the best cookies that we could make would be Sugar Cookies and Oatmeal Junkies, from recipes from the greatest cookie maker in the world My Mom!!!!!

Mara helped me get all of the ingredients out then helped me put them all together. she decided that the cookies should be circles and trees, so we made lots and lots of trees and enough circles to go to each person.

She thinks that cooking is great.

After the sugar cookies were cooled and we were waiting for the oatmeal cookies to be done in the oven, we frosted the trees: green ( of course) and the circles: pink.
all of the cookies had to have lots and lots of red and green sprinkles too. ( she did that part)

mara's favorite part of the cookie process was getting to eat the beaters from the frosting. "I dripped some on my hand"

The oatmeal cookies we took to Aunt Audrey and Uncle Zaky yesterday- I do not think they are as good as my moms but we tried and it was the thought that counts.

Christmas Program

Yesterday was Mara's Christmas program at school.

She did a great job she sang most of the songs very loudly, as only Mara could do. SHe enjoyed having so many people in front of her and the rest of the class. Mara is a drama queen she wants all eyes on her all of the time, I do not know where she gets this from.

All I want for Christmas, is you

My sick little lady

On Saturday Morning Mara woke up coughing up a storm. this little girl has been coughing so hard these few days that it is making her throw up. I feel so bad for her, when she coughs her entire body just shakes. She has had a fever a few times but mostly she is just coughing, coughing coughing.

On Sunday night Jonah didn't go to work because he was sick, then all night and I do mean ALL night Mara was awake, she was trying to sleep but she was coughing so much that she was unable to sleep, which also means I didn't get any sleep, I was exhausted. At 2 o'clock in the morning we broke down and went to the store to get her cough medicine, I drugged my poor sweet girl, it helped a little not much though.

we have tried Warm honey, vicks vapor rub on her belly and on her feet, now cough medicine, having her sleep almost upright, I do not know what else to do.

Last night she slept a little better she only woke up 6 times instead of all night.

We are going to the doctor today to get her checked out. I am hoping it is not bronchitis, though I think it might be.

Here is my answer to my last post, we are having a healthy ( so far so good) little boy!!!

Jonah and I are very happy. Neither of us were really concerned as to the gender, we just wanted to have a healthy baby, we are both very very happy.

Mara is quite happy too, she now tells me that she is going to kiss her brother and then kisses my belly:)

I love that girl of mine.

today is the big day

Today Jonah and I are going to have an ultrsound to see our beautiful baby. Obviously I do not care what the sex of the baby is I just want a healthy baby. I am very nervous.



tomorrow I will be 19 weeks so today I am 18 weeks 6 days:0)




I want everyone to tell me your guesses on the sex of the baby.

Mara my little Chef

Mara has this fasination in cooking. She gets her apron on then moves her stool over and helps me cook. this is a picture of her stirring Banana Cream pudding for our pie for thanksgiving. she kept reminding me that she was being careful not to burn herself on the HOT stove. she is such a cute little lady.

She also likes to help me put everything out on the table for dinner, she gets the silverware out and puts them in the correct spots. then she will get the glasses out one for each of us. goes to the fridge and gets out the milk for Jonah, pours whatever she wants to drink in her glass, and gets water for me out of the fridge- then takes each glass to the table . I love this girl.
