California ( part 1)

On April 18th, we started on our way to our long awaited family vacation to DISNEYLAND!!!!!

We drove to Mesquite NV, to visit with Grandpa Bob and Wendy at their AMAZING vacation home. - thank you dad and Wendy for staying an extra night so we could spend some time with you.
After we got there Jonah, Mara, Grandpa Bob, and Wendy left to go play golf. Jackson and I headed down in town to see the sights (everything was closed, but the Walmart ) so we walked around Wally world for a good hour in a half. Headed home to wait for the pro golfer:-)
when they got back we headed down for some dinner, Mexican food:(

well it was late when we got back from dinner, so we all headed to bed, for the rest of our long drive the next morning.

The next morning we all had a great breakfast together and started on our way.

I do not remember that drive from sixth grade- yes that was the last time i was in California.
about 2 hours into our 5 1/2 hour drive, we ran into this........


" do you have any fresh fruit?
"NO"
"okay have a great day"

WHAT????? weird, oh well

well we finally made it to California, we found our hotel, then decided to drive to Newport Beach, it was GREAT!!!

I do not think Mara grasped the concept that the water just kept on going, and going, and going, etc.

well we headed back to the hotel, got checked in, and went to the grocery store. we decided that we would pack our own food into the park for our lunches.
when we got back from the store, we had to carry all of our food up to our hotel room- we got the funniest stares from people- oh well:)

put the kiddos to bed, hung out and cuddled with my hubby and then went to sleep.

the next morning Mara woke up @ 3:30, 4:15, 5:45, and finally at 6:55- she was way too excited.

Disneyland, Princess's, HEAVEN to a little girl:-0
